Louis Walsh signs John and Edward

John and Edward have signed a deal with X Factor judge Louis Walsh to manage their careers. Louis is already looking into record deals and TV presenting opportunities after the Jedward twins have been inundated with offers since they left the X Factor two weeks ago.

After mentoring John and Edward Grimes during the X Factor finals he is “delighted” to work with them again but said it is “too early” to give any precised details of plans for the future of the boys whether it be through the medium of Pop Music or TV or as is widely predicted a mixture of the two.

John and Edward, known to their many fans as Jedward, whose performances divided the X Factor judges, were voted off the show last month.

“Despite all the doubters, John and Edward proved themselves on The X Factor and I’ve always been convinced that they have a great career ahead of them,” Walsh said.

Their performances included a rendition of the Ghostbusters theme song during movie week and I’m Your Man by Wham! and an unforgettable performance of Britney Spears’s – ‘Oops I did it again’.

Dannii Minogue and Simon Cowell were especially critical of John and Edward’s singing during X Factor but Simon has since admitted to coming to like the pair. They were were eventually voted off by the panel, after Dannii Minogue, who had the final vote, chose to save Olly Murs.

All X Factor contestants are contracted by Modest Management, who represent all 12 finalists until the show ends. Louis has come to an “amicable agreement” with the company, which has allowed him to take on John and Edward before the end of the show in 2 weeks time. Modest will continue to represent the other finalists as well as previous winners Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke.

John and EdwardWalsh will co-manage the brothers with CEO of broadcasting company Global Group, Ashley Tabor.

“Jedward are this year’s X Factor phenomenon and I’m thrilled to be able to put the scale of the Global Group behind them alongside Louis, developing what I am sure will be a great career for them both.” “It’s an exciting future,” Mr Tabor said.
